Navigating the Aging Journey

Our experts in aging will help you navigate your daily needs and tasks, as well as assist with easing into life’s changes with dignity. Get assistance with the logistics of this new terrain of aging, whether or not memory concerns are part of the picture.

Promoting and Restoring Mental Health

Whether you are struggling with life transitions, anxiety or depression, or just looking to make positive life changes, our staff is here to help. We also support family caregivers as they navigate the emotional difficulties that come along with caring for someone.

Supporting Brain Health & Living Well with Dementia

Are you or a loved one experiencing mild memory changes? We provide activities in individual and group settings that are fun, stimulating, and creative in order to encourage preservation of your well-being and independence.

Catalyzing the Team

We empower your team through education, internships, and consultation. If you don’t yet have the team you need, let us help you develop one. SJFS has the necessary community connections to develop and implement the traits of a functional and healthy care-giving team.

With history tracing back to 1839, Syracuse Jewish Family Service has roots in myriad aspects of human service. We recognize these legacy services as historical commitments of the agency; while some are no longer active programs, each one has played an important role in our growth and story of becoming the agency we are today.

Kol Chai

Literally meaning “all life”, this legacy program is specifically targeted to addressing the needs of Jewish individuals. SJFS Kol Chai supports are designed to help individuals who are experiencing or anticipating crisis to achieve a healthy baseline in their lives. This program is highly customized to the needs of the individual; services may include:
