What Is the MPU Madison County Community?
MPU Madison County Community consists of a weekly 4-hour session facilitated by SJFS’s clinical staff for Madison County residents, located at Madison County Rural Health Council in Cazenovia. Participants learn practical skills to help with early memory loss in a friendly and supportive setting with a group of peers. The Madison County Community highlights our holistic approach to memory care through memory and cognitive training, coping strategies, lifestyle skills, physical exercise, exploring self-expression and emotional processing through the creative arts, and educational presentations.
Wednesdays from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Pre-screening required.

Why is MPU Madison County Community Important?
Cognitive changes and early memory loss can be very overwhelming and isolating. Central to the MPU program is the introduction of memory enhancement activities, compensatory strategies for memory loss, peer support, exercise, and socialization to address the social, emotional, and physical changes that can come along with early memory loss.
Cost
The MPU Madison Community is $55 per session (lunch included) with scholarships available if there is a financial need. A discounted price is available if purchasing multiple sessions at one time (6 sessions for $315 or 13 sessions for $650).
